No.

How can this be?

Do I really not have this issue? And it’s not yet posted at NinjaTurtles.com? I HAVEN’T READ, AND CANNOT READ, LEONARDO #1.

And look at this final page:

This is as big as I could find. Lean in and squint, you lazy mofo.

Gah!

  1. Uh….enough about you…what am I supposed to do?! It’s not like I’m going to read the damn thing myself….

  2. Worst post ever.

  3. By worst, you mean saddest, in that it makes you sad to see me suffer so, right? I don’t have the issue where the Shredder returns! That’s huge. Why couldn’t it have been the one with the magic pencil?

  4. Why not buy it?

  5. Or download it from the internet or world wide web.

  6. BTW – you’re missing something from your blogroll.

  7. I will buy it, I just have to find it first. It’s 22 years old, and probably didn’t have the highest number of copies printed in the first place, you know…

  8. It’s on eBay. About $15.

  9. Really? I haven’t done an eBay search for TMNT books for a while, but back when I did, I never had much luck. I did have luck at mycomcshop.com, though, which is where I was able to take a huge stride towards completing the collection.

And they have it for $4, but I’ve barred myself from making non-urgent online purchases for a while. The credit card, she’s not in such a good place these days.

If I physically find it, I’ll grab it, no questions asked. Once I’ve inched away from my sizeable credit limit a tad, then I’ll feel up to ordering some more of the books I don’t yet have. Until then, I’ll just have to suffer. It builds character.

  10. How much character can you really build for $4???

  11. $4 plus shipping? See, I was including shipping.

  12. Naw, I wouldn’t be buying just the one book. I’d buy a bunch at a time. Shipping’s cheaper in larger numbers (for this book alone shipping would be $9, but when I bought 14 books, shipping was $20 — all American figures, since the place is HQ’d in Texas). Plus I can use every ounce of character I can get.

Though it took me a few reads to realize you didn’t mean that the comic would feature a limited amount of character development for Leonardo with a price of only $4.

  13. Where in Texas? I’m in Austin…

  14. I think there will be a limited amount of character development for Leonardo regardless of the amount you pay for it.
